Documentary photography
Documentary photography is a style of photography that provides a straightforward and accurate representation of people, places, objects and events, and is often used to contrast the media's representation of a community

- The relationship that he had with the people he took photos of was a positive relationship since he took the time to find out about them attend party's and social events
- Why do you think that it was important for Dawoud Bey to photograph his community?
- to contrast the negative stereotype that the media had given to the black minority of Harlem new York
personal project
So I found this task fun because I was able to take the photo the way I wanted and take photos of people I know.
I preferred taking photos inside the studio because I had more control over the background
I need to improve
the angles and positions I take my photos in
What I am going to take away from this photo
is how I used the lighting to brighten up the whole photo

I selected these photos for my final composition piece for lots of reasons. Mainly because I felt that these photos reflected what I found in the photos of Tyler Mitchell and I was pleased with what I did. The photos, whilst they are all individual seem to go together well asa series.
Select this format for my composition because all had a some individually to them and they all had different quirks some of them had used Irregular shapes to form regular shapes I had realised that these compositions had reflected my personality in some way or another I wanted to keep my composition simple so it will be easier to understand because not everyone has to be an artist to understand art
For my piece I had developed and improved my ideas by making multiple drafts and restarting it multiple times I had researched on Pinterest multiple display strategies for my photos sized photos Document of people in the community and how they were dressed in different ways it’s in the culture and upbringing I had gone through multiple drafts resizing and re-taking the photos that I had used for my peace I had used multiple resources such as wood plank of wood card and paper to put my photos on to you to come by and my knowledge of placement and photography am I understanding of people in our community to find my photos in a way that they would enjoy looking at them I think I demonstrated the skills necessary to effectively record of respond observations and experiences bye looking single a part of my photos and singling out the subjects in each of them are presented my days on a plank with multiple layers and angles to display the difference the different Personalities and emotions I had links my work to Call Tyler Mitchell Where are you dude vibrant colours to single to cut the background and set colour to Illuminate the subject I had a document app me and my partner because that was the person paired
1.in the photos i have chosen Peter Mitchell chooses to take his photos in local areas in the neighbourhood such as shops or walls that have been graffitied
2.the photographs depict a run down/aged area they give the impression that the area is vacant and abandoned and that they have not been maintained.
3.in theses photos i get the idea that he is trying to depict the local area and the fact the government does not care about the small communities that house the lower class
4.i feel that Peter Mitchell is trying to show the melancholy feel of the area but also the happiness that the local people have for their neighbourhood
