Component 2
For my exam I have chosen to base my portfolio on 'Objects' as I feel that this allows me to be the most creative artist that I can be. choosing objects allows me to use any object at my disposal turning boring everyday objects into a unique piece art. This passion of mine started from a young child as I have always been interested in everyday objects and how they function and how I always used the items at my disposal to create something new and unique. This subject is important as I want to channel my inner child and reminisce of the days when I had the most freedom. This is on of my first projects to the road of being an innovator on the new generation of artists.
PETER FISCHLI & DAVID WEISS
Peter Fischli & David Weiss are two photographers that have collaborated for over thirty years and they focus on creating body's of work that combine and rearranges everyday boing items into something new and unique with the help of many mediums to help display there images such as photography, video and many more. They use flat light to create shadows to fill in the plain background creating a new aspect of the photo. They take their photos from an eye level vantage point which allows for full visibility of the sculpture which has been constructed with the use of everyday items. I would like to borrow there use of lighting choices and the option of creating an sculpture with either everyday items or plasticine
Thirza Schaap
Thirza Schaap is a female artist that uses her art to persuade people about the dangers of plastic and to raise awareness. She also uses the technique of rearrangement low light and high vantage points to capture photos of her sculptures each of her photos have a story to tell which imbues the on looker with empathetic feelings. she creates this feeling with the use of arranging and the place meant of there subjects as she does not try to hide her subject as she always has it centre stage addressing her point of ocean pollution

Exam Plan
This is a mind map of all my potential experiments for this course. I have a multitude of ideas ranging from digital and analog some digital examples are editing the objects in a room and rearranging them and some analog examples involve me crafting a sculpture using either clay or normal everyday objects. I plan to do a combination of digital and analog by creating a sculpture and placing it in a room of items taking many photos of the sculpture in many different places and then editing the photo to add both layers and editing the orientation of the room creating both a maze and a crowd of objects which will mask the sculptures location or I will deconstruct an object documenting each stage and after the object has been deconstructed I will go through and edit each stage of the process and either create a video of the deconstruction or project each state creating a mix of both many layers and objects. creating both a piece of art and a piece of entertainment for the viewers.
Analysis
of
PETER FISCHLI & DAVID WEISS
Peter fischil and David Weiss use high heels to create the subject of the photo with a star shape. when I had first observed this photo I had thought this photo was a photo of a ninja star. Using a basic background to accentuate the colours of the high heels they use no artificial light in the photo the genre of this photo is objects as the only thing that occurs in this photo is the high heels. This photo looks like it was taken from a higher vantage point.
